Living Stones Men’s Ministry Retreat – Sept. 2026
Plans are underway for our 2026 Men’s Retreat at Camp Geddie on Friday Sept. 11th,12th and 13th in Merigomish, NS. This will give everyone lots of time to start early to save for the registration fee to be determined sometime next year.
Registration Fee: $150.00. Special Flat Registration Fee of $100.00 for groups between ages 13-25.
Our Theme for next year’s retreat is: DEEP WATER FISHING. Over the last couple of years our themes have been “ Armed and Ready” and “Go” which leads us to ask the question, where do we go now? The answer is found in Luke 5:4 “Put your Boat into Deep Water and let down the nets for a catch” which I believe leads us to Deep Water Fishing as our theme inspired by Holy Spirit.
There is so much that Jesus tells us in His Word about this teaching so please spend time reading and meditating on Scripture verses Luke 5 vs. 4-11 in preparation for our weekend together.
We are pleased to have Pastor Gerry Bezanson, from Middleton as our weekend guest speaker. For those of us who know Gerry fishing is one of his favourite pastimes, so I expect he will have some great comparisons between the Natural and the Spiritual about fishing.
On Sunday morning at the end of our weekend together we will be having a Communion Service led by Rev. Dr. Stephen Croft. Women are welcome to join us for this Communion Service.

- Mail your cheque or money order payable to Living Stones Men’s Ministry to Don Wells 33 Dunromin Ave. Bible Hill, N.S. B2N 4M6
- Bring your registration to Camp Geddie on Opening day.
Note: whatever method you choose please confirm by no later than September 1st indicating that you will be attending. Send text to: (902) 956-0542 or email to don@living-stones.ca. We must let our cook know how many meals to prepare in advance. We are required to pay Camp Geddie for that number of men that we tell them will be attending.
Luke 5:4–11 (ESV): 4 And when he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” 5 And Simon answered, “Master, we toiled all night and took nothing! But at your word I will let down the nets.” 6 And when they had done this, they enclosed a large number of fish, and their nets were breaking. 7 They signalled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” 9 For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish that they had taken, 10 and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid; from now on you will be catching men.” 11 And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed him.

Robert Atkinson
Robert Atkinson lives in the Kentville area of Nova Scotia with his wife, Vanessa, and their five children. Together, they are passionate about seeing people experience the transforming power of God’s presence.
Rob’s life is a powerful testimony of God’s miraculous healing and faithfulness. After overcoming brain cancer, a brain tumor, and undergoing a craniotomy, he experienced the life changing power of God in a profound way. Through these trials, his faith became deeply rooted in Christ, and today he lives with unwavering confidence in God’s ability to heal, restore, and perform miracles. Rob is passionate about seeing God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
Worship and evangelism are central to Rob’s life. As an accomplished musician, he ministers through worship with a passion for leading people into the presence of God. Whether it’s sharing his testimony or leading worship, his desire is to point people to the hope, healing, and freedom found in Jesus Christ.
Bill Bennett
I was Born in Canning in 1965 and saved when I was 9 and filled with the Baptism of the Holy Spirit when I was 14. Grew up in a home with an alcoholic father and a mom who was saved and full of the Holy Spirit. My Family was close with 2 older sisters and older brother and 1 younger brother. Life with my dad was traumatic by times and because of my experience with the Lord my trust was in him from an early age.
The Lord has watched over my life and gave me many opportunities that I am so great-full for. Lots of stories to share about God encounters and life surrendered to God but also the trials that came with it.
I have an amazing son who Loves the Lord and he and his wife have blessed me with 2 Grandsons and one on the way in April.
My passions in life are being used in worship and sharing Jesus love wherever I go. I want to see the kingdom of God show up on earth as in Heaven in a real way and not just talked about, life transforming encounters.
Jason Taylor
Jason is the Worship Leader at Light House Ministries in Shubenacadie. Jason and his family have suffered with many challenges in his life but have remained faithful to God’s call on his life. Jason has a servant heart and does his very best to accommodate others.
